i have seen in a lot of people's profiles & posts about how they began in this lifestyle as a sub, & then became a Dom(me)......
has anyone on here started as a Dom(me) & then became a sub?

personally, i am a sub thru & thru....and at this point in my life i could never see myself as a Dom.......but i certainly can understand the evolution/growth process involved in each of our lives......thoughts, everyone???

Like you i was also born a sub  to be a Domme that is something i could never do it is just not me.

I was never a domme in the sense of i had a sub / slave but i have taken the dominant role in relationships all my life up until recently. I confused my outgoing personality for dominance and thought that that was my role.
Have to say i'm much happier for finding out my true role in life.

I've known those who have gone both ways as I know people who maintain both sides of their personality.

im not talking about switches......or about day to day life.....i have to be very assertive & sometimes dominant in my work place....& its nothing to do with my submission........
i mean people who go from one aspect of the life to the complete opposite....specifically my query is about those who started as Dominants & then became submissives or slaves.......& the real nitty gritty....'why?'
i see lots of examples where one goes from sub to Dom(me).....just curious how often it goes the other way.......

not a chance that could happen to me, just thinking about it makes me giggle at the mental image of me standing over someone all tied up, begging them to tell me what they want me to do to them...

I could never see myself dominating a man, but it would not be a big leap for me to do to a woman all of the delightfully wicked things that Master does to me, especially if he had ordered me to do so or was watching!

lol.....interesting responses thus far......but i have to say......pretty much what i expected.........if the natural evolution/growth involves a switching of roles......it seems logical to start as a sub & then become the Dominant one........in my mind anyway....

to CrappyDom: aint that the truth! & it becomes more apparent everyday.......what i wonder about tho, is what i CANT imagine...lol.........

I had a friend who thought she was submissive. She had always taken the submissive role in her vanilla relationships. I think it had to do with her shy personality.

After she began to do her research, and learn about the lifestyle, she quickly learned she wasn't submissive. No, she never scened as a submissive, but she didn't need to.

i think this leads to an interesting question: does personality affect whether a person is dominant or submissive?
