Sure. Laws the Democrats fought for and the Republicans opposed.

The First Amendment? Really?

The right to control my body and my fertility. The right to equal pay for equal work. The right to not get discrimated against.

Really.

We know that you`ve all given up............ so now it`s sour grapes and recalling past put-upons and whining about how unfair the world is.....

Not to let facts get in the way of a good argument but ...

Pregnancy has been a choice in this country since 1973.

The latest numbers say that a female, under thirty, living in a big city that is single and has no children makes 8% more than their male counter-part.

The fourteenth amendment guarantees that discrimination won't happen.

This notion that the right wants women chained back in the kitchen is laughable. I'm still looking for the lady that can go out, work, and support me in the manner to which I have not yet become accustomed. That last sentence was a joke but, it's very tough to argue: "I want my rights but, I'll be damned if I'll take the responsibility that goes with them!"

Peace and comfort,

Michael

Go ahead and put all your eggs in a basket of force-fed fear, JanahX, but don't expect it to be as effective as hope and change were last time.

Rich, this is really sad......... Are you really suggesting someones personal experiences are "force fed fear " ?

If so, I am more than dismayed.

Dont be hon, the confirmation bias is strong..
Until its ignored because their argument is bullshit,
Why... they have made banning abortions part of their platform... but women should just ignore it, cos its in the constitution, against life and liberty, HAH....Ya right
Ignoring it is NOT gonna happen, and neither should it. Its not like you can trust actually trust a fundie republican! And there is SO many of them

The experiences are hers, and they will dictate her decision-making (as is normal for people to make decisions based on their own experiences). But, people aren't going to be swayed so much by her fears and experiences, across the Nation. They will impact her and those around her. "Hope and Change" was something anyone anywhere could latch onto and support. So, if the National strategy was to use JanahX's experiences as a reason to vote 'against' Romney, it would be a campaign of force-fed fear.

And yet we have been subjected to force fed ignorance(and fear) by the right, over abortion contraception and the ACA for the past 18 months.
I guess that must be different huh

The right to control your body and fertility, eh? How is that being stripped away from you? I can see your opposition to Pro-Life stemming from your "let me control my body" right. But, do you honestly think Roe v. Wade is going to be overturned? That Republicans are going to be capable of eradicating abortion from the menu of medical procedures?

You want to control your fertility? Go ahead. How is that being impacted? Is it because Obama and the D's are attempting to force insurance companies into providing coverage for it? Are you not able to go to your local mega-mart and buy prophylactics in many different forms? Or, is it that you want it paid for by your insurance? And, to be open, I would support an insurance company's decision to not cover Viagra or other anti-ED medication for the purpose of "getting it up." I do support the coverage of medications that prevent or treat diseases or illnesses, even when those medications are also for pregnancy prevention, or ED. The difference being the use of the medication. If you are only going to be using it to prevent pregnancy, or to get a rise so he can have sex, I'm not supportive of that being forced onto the insurance company. Insurance companies are well within their right and will get no flak from me if they decide to cover those things. I'm just against it being forced upon them.

Where are either party campaigning for or against equal pay for equal work? I'm a Conservative and best described as a Libertarian. I support, fully, equal compensation for equal value of work. If you provide a higher value of work than your co-worker, you should get higher pay, don't you agree?

Where is the threat of discrimination you are worried about?

Personally, I think its still too early to say whether the thrill is gone or dare to call who is going to win. If Obama wins, I think the only way we can move forward is for the Congress to grow up or move out. If Romney wins...then C'est la vie. We go back to deregulation and whatever else the man stands for. Because I really don't know what his true intentions are.

I can think of many reasons why a Doctor would tell a woman.. do NOT get pregnant. Does that mean she has to stop having sex because her insurance company wont cover the medication needed?

Mississippi may be the fattest state in the country. And it may be among the least educated and have provided the backdrop to some of the country's most heinous displays of racism.

And you can dismiss its lawmakers as just a bunch of dumb, backwoods hicks if you think that makes for good humor in other parts of the country. But then consider this: It's possible its legislature has cannily unlocked a way to make abortion illegal without having to overturn Roe v. Wade.

The state has instituted a series of unreasonable regulations for doctors who perform abortions. Using a practice very similar to the kind of bottlenecking that was done to suppress black votes during the Jim Crow era, Mississippi has systematically squeezed the number of abortion clinics in the state down to just one.

I think its IS possible without having to touch Roe.

Yeah. It's always in the platform, and they always fail to do it. Being a pro-choice Republican is no different than being a gun-nut Democrat. We know it ain't gonna happen, and don't get worked up about it.

OOOh, yeah, life goes on, long after the thrill, of livin' is gone...

Can't think of a president who had higher ratings than his first term going into his second term, and Obama is no exception, he will lose some votes, and pick some up,  it will be a close race.

Recently in N`hapmsha I vacationed on a certain lake. The folks in town know and like Mitt and some have met him in person.

My old friend I was visiting let me keep my boat docked at one of his rentals(that was on the lake).

This one particular rental was being donated to "Romeny New Hampshire" with one of those Romney banners drawn cross the whole house.

I met a state senator who`d given up his spot at the convention to a large doner and was standing in the driveway chatting on his cell.

After his cal we schmoozed and talked.Though my host knew,no one standing there knew I was voting for Obama.

As we chatted(about the election)...the senator and long time supporter of Mitt said..." folks don`t know Mitt Romeny ....folks haven`t had a chance to get to know him yet"

To which I politely remarked " well why is that?.....He`s been running for president for more than eight years and spent over a quarter billion dollars(of his own money) during that time"

No one had a reply.

Then I said " it was by design that people don`t know him....that Mr Romney purposely layed low and dodged the press for the most part."

Just head shakes while looking down.

Now that is a few short weeks to election day...it`s a bit late to complain that no one knows Mitt.
