Actually, you can do all sorts of spiffy stuff if you want to do it yourself.  just use the square brackets " [ " and  " ] "  around what you want to do and use what you want to do in pairs. 
 
One to start [thing] and one to stop [/thing].  This all comes from the first programming stuff, where if you wanted
 
italics [ i ] italics [ /i ]
or underlining [ u ] underline THIS [ /u ]
or bold [ b ] BOLD [ /b ]
you had to program it yourself. 
 
It is just the same if you want to quote someone you use the word "quote".  You can make it look like you are quoting anyone here:
 
[ quote ]

ORIGINAL: Prez. Bush:

I have big earz
[ /quote ]
 
See?  Your turn [:D]

EDITED to say:  OH!!!  I put spaces in the brackets to show you how it is done (I actually typed them twice, but you don't see the ones with no spaces...the magic of computers) If you leave spaces in the brackets, it won't work. (sheepish grin).
