CarpeEros -> RE: Trying to post image (9/18/2012 10:01:01 PM)

Thanks for this Poise :-) The problem on my Profile was indeed that the old version had a .jpeg instead of .jpg suffix for the two photos I could not properly upload. Unlike the forums though, the software does not warn you and does not complain, it just says "profile updated" and then you go and look and you have another picture in your profile to go to and it just shows a broken rectangle icon instead of the picture. So if you're in touch with the Admins of Collarme which it seems you are knowledgable enough, could you pass on this suggestion: have the software tell you it doesn't like or doesn't understand the suffice, when you try to upload a photo with the suffix it doesn't like, to Profile...I know the software can do this because that's EXACTLY what the Forums software did when I tried...it said something like "jpeg" is not recognized*...so I know they can improve the Profile pic upload software to just give the same warning and that would be super helpful :-) As for the forum, I did notice and click to "check" the "embed picture in post" so I'll recheck if it's the file format or not..but this isn't crucial for me at least not now, since I was doing this as a test to help figure out the real issue I had, which was my profile pics.. Thanks again, your images are greatly detailed so for people who have that problem ("Additional photo 1" etc) I'm sure they are very helpful..just joined collarme and it's great there are such "good helpful citizens" are yourself (also your profile picture with the keys of "charm" versus "patience" was a great funny but true reminder! and your poetry opening is cool too :-) CarpeEros *(unfortunately some of us have such pictures since our software created it that way but I just manually renamed it and that's it, it's just an alternate name for the same file format)
