Did you just call Ron a cheap slut? I mean, it's probably true.. I'm just asking.

(You do know that you could save a few bucks by just paying him with a bottle of beer? I hear he doesn't negotiate, but with prices that low you can't go wrong!)

I thought swallowing was payment.

Ron would know best about deposits though.

I think someone whose idea of domination was tied to how much he made, needs to re-evaluate himself. Apparently, for him , money equals power - a rather shaky foundation nowdays.

'Never have, and given my very lucky financial situation, 'probably never will.

I'm getting married in 3 weeks to a lesser earner, so now I guess I'll go to my grave as a posh Sir Stephen clone who's sheer classiness has them getting down on all fours just from casual eye contact.

I had some hard action on a trip to Bhutan a while back with someone who was from a royal euro-family. But other than her real estate, I think I had more cash in the bank.

Of course, you gotta handle the mortgage and utilities and groceries and gas and all that other petty shit.

Then, you better plan on blowing him about 1000x/month so he can afford all that shit.

Of course. How much she makes has nothing to do with her submission.

no it does not have anything to do with a sub's willingness to submit- and that's from my personal opinion as a sub.

Yep yep Ive dated "trust fund babies" <that is what we call them around here> heirs to fortunes. Think in terms of 200' yachts and a private chopper to get to them. She was a hot lil bitch.

I think the OP's angle is whether it affects the Dom's dominance over her.

Personally, I think it's a decent question. As one who likes to be dominant in as many ways possible over my girl (which in some aspects would cross over to "superior"), it's a question worthy of consideration rather than merely (and hastily?) being flipped off as irrelevant.

To that end, I've already given my answer/opinion - which was not a reflex reply to allay perceptions of insecurities, as some seem to be.

Focus.

I have done so on more than one instance. One was my sub for over a year. Money was not part of our equation.

Thank you for all your posts/input.
I was just concerned about a guy realizing that I made more than him on the first date.
All your posts where helpful in answering that question.
BTW, I'm not 'rich' by any means, but I'm comfortable.
I personally don't care who makes more money.
My level of income has increased significantly over the last year, so being comfortable is also new to me.
Hence the original question.
Anyway, thanks to all who posted.

Question for the heterosexual male dom:
would you date a female submissive that makes more money than you?

Are you kidding? I've been seeing so many findomme threads, lately that I have decided to wait until I have found a submissive that can support me in a manner to which I have not yet become accustomed.

Peace and comfort,

Michael

I think the more compelling question is:

quote:

ORIGINAL: What Allypopsthecorn Should Have Asked

Question for the heterosexual female sub:
would you date a male dominant that makes less money than you?

If she can submit knowing she has more fiscal power, I see it as a plus. 10/10 I would rather have the submissive pet man-eating-tiger than a dependent fledgling who might be with me because it covers her rent. It would be a bigger problem if she had no income. Except for the unemployed (those who had jobs, but are victim to a bad economy), women (usually young, straight to college) who have never worked are a deal breaker. I would never again date/take as a sub/submit to a "student" who has never worked.

I have generally been in this situation as a submissive. I have to be honest, I didn't realize it was (or should be) an issue at all. Maybe it is for people who are older by an entire generation (?) I can't see it being an issue these days. Am I being naive about this? I've never had any issue with the Dominants in my life who did earn less, and have just assumed it would not really be an issue for two people who were otherwise compatible.

And if I had to limit myself the the pool of male Dominants who meet my other criteria AND also make more money than me. Well screw it, might as well go celibate now.....

Having been a poor, inner-city kid who went to a private high school with people who made more money than I could imagine, then on to a college with more of the same, I had to quickly get over feeling inadequate because of earning--or coming from--less money than my partners. Who makes more than whom is meaningless unless a relationship gets to the stage when Serious Issues like co-mingling of finances get discussed. Before that, caring about how much a partner makes is just insecurity, IMO.
