A cat who lets anybody pick it up and cradle, doesn't mean it picks you. Cats have different personalities like human beings. Like some human beings would hug anybody and everybody, and just very warm and friendly. Cats too have that.

The step-son's cat dislikes everyone equally. Except if he wants you to turn the faucet on. He loves drinking from a slowly dripping faucet, batting the drops around.
