ORIGINAL: gungadin09 quote:
ORIGINAL: LaTigresse It IS your, my, LadyHib's and every other human being that uses the internet,'s responsibility to determine for THEMSELVES what is bogus bullshit for them PERSONALLY. Agreed. However, the difference between flat out lying and telling the truth is not a "personal" one. quote:
The reason I say this.......do you have ANY idea the level of bullshit that really goes on online and the time, resources, and effort that would go into policing what is 'real and twue'? If each poster acted on their own as a policeman, then not much time, not much effort, and not many resources. quote:
Not to mention, who is going to define 'fishy'? Like I said, each poster. quote:
I've seen posters on this site, that would pass every 'there is something fishy' filter... I wasn't referring to the fishiness of posters. Pam So... if each of us is now Internet Police, what? We each get to filter every post based on our own set of experiences---and paranoias. Yay. Not buying it. Mainly, I am not buying it because I just don't see that much in the way of fishiness. If I see a TOS violation, I start a ticket. If I see a pic on the other side, I report it. If it's not a TOS violation, it's not on me to vet every post I read. Starting a troll post is still allowed here, and everyone can dogpile on it as long as they don't attack the poster. We don't know who is telling the truth around here. Hi, I'm Francine, I'm a CPA. Hi, I'm Francine, I'm a civil engineer. Hi, I'm Francine, I'm a ballet teacher. Hi, I'm Francine, I'm a housewife. Hi, I'm Francine, I'm on the city council of my town. Which of the above are true?
