My mom. I would talk to her and tell jokes, and make her laugh till she snorted... that always made me feel warm and fuzzy. Then I would have her brush my hair and I would paint her fingernails. [:)] sooooooooo........... pbm, is there someone you know that if s/he died, you might actually feel some relief, if not a hidden smile inside? (I know, pretty dark, but I've been dealing with this myself lately. Maybe I'm the only one.) [8\|]

Yes, it was my father, as much as it hurt it felt sooooo good. We had an awful relationship and he was not a nice man, he was a sperm donor and basically nothing more so the day he died I was hurt for a second and then the relief flooded in and I contemplated. Sounds twisted and awful I know but remember the saying, "walk a mile in my shoes." Anyhow DRH you are not the only one though it is a very twisted feeling inside anyhow....... Sooooooooooooooo, pbm, who is/was the one person you could talk to about anything and not be judged, looked at oddly, or made fun of, ya know just that one person who would listen to anything you had to say and give you a worthwhile response?

My best friend Toni... When I was visiting Peru for a short while, I called her and said "I love it here... I am so happy" and she was the only one who said, "You don't have to come back." I'd never thought of that. So, I did stay for about a year... best year of my life. And no matter what I tell her she doesn't think I'm a weirdo... well maybe she does but in a good way... AND she is hands down the most loving human being I've ever met. I'm lucky to have her in my life. PBM: What is the one thing that you are grateful for more than anything? (not a person)

ya know there are many things that just make you wanna hurl, but I think the topper of all of them for me at least was a customer I had when I worked at Ruby Tuesdays, it was a mixture of Body Odor, cat urine, people urine, sweat, stale cigarette smoke, dirty clothes, and an attempt at covering it all up with cologne....... that makes my stomach turn just thinking about it........ Sooooooooooo, pbm, after a traumatic time in your life (you define traumatic) what do you tend to do, how do you work and sort through things?

I withdraw into myself. I am my best support system. I write, I rant, sometimes I curse the fates, and then, inevitably, I find my smile, and my laughter. Sooooooo, pbm, who is the one person who can always make you smile?

In all actuality, I do not have a best friend. After a bad experience with a so-called "best friend" when I was younger, I have been leery of letting someone be my best friend, though I have close friends. Soooooooooooooo PBM...thong or brief?
