No, mine doesn't.  Just beeps when the timer goes off.  Doesn't keep beeping if you don't open the door right away.

Ham and Swiss sandwich on Double fiber whole grain bread with lettuce and dark mustard.  And shrimp cocktail.

Personally, I do think things work out better when they are of the same generation.  However, I know of several happy relationships where they aren't.
