Ok, I know as i think of this that I am going to come across sounding like a whiny bitch...that's not my goal, I'm just curious... I'm wondering...how many unread messages is to many? I'm not sure if we are just trying to message the wrong people, if we are just virtually inept, if people are just that rude, or if our profile picture screams Plague Bearer, so I am attempting to set up a baseline... Currently in our sent messages folder, we have 25 sent messages from the last 3 months. Out of those, 3 are deleted unread, 2 are read of which 1 was replied to, and the remaining20 are still untouched. SoSome of the people we've messaged even still pop up on our search page, so it isnt like they arent around... Again, not trying to be whiny, just curious, but it is hard to deliver that sincerity over words alone...

It's also possible that you're landing in someone's bulk mail folder, in which case they're not even seeing your mail.

Aah yes, almost forgot about bulk! For clerification: Our search page is intentionally set up to only find people who are looking for couples so as to try to avoid bulk ... though I do occasionally find that she has ventured into "seeking dom men" territory...

And, they are possibly hovering the email, going to look at your profile, then determining they don't want to acknowledge. Orrrrrrrrrr, they are the types that set up an account to look around and don't bother returning. Don't bother reading mail........whatever. There are a multitude of possibilities and you will never likely know the truth. It doesn't matter. All you've invested is a few minutes to type the initial email. Forget and move on.

Yea..we've gotten more than a few "you want to enjoy your sub more than just beating and fucking her??? Weirdos" style messages. What is so wrong with wanting to like someone's person more than their ability to follow directions or take a beating (which we do NOT get into) A love for praise based psychological submission wrapped up in an intelligent, curious, and creative personallity sprinkled with a bit of sarcasm and wit... Holy shit...that really IS a unicorn, huuh?

I think it's a good idea to have a profile out there, but really, being out in the world being your charming selves is your best option. There is actually a poly group in Ann Arbor (MI) that is an offshoot of the TNG group. (when did poly become the fashion? bonus!) I suspect that there are other poly groups out there, or at the very least other poly people. Yes, you want the magical unicorn. But hey, you could be looking for a submissive male... [:D]

And by the way... We live in a county with a population of less than 20k where rednecks outnumber liberals 10k to 1 (yes, implying we are the only two around here) If there were a local event, we would be hosting it...and most likely, the only two there
