Then why are we here, in this thread???/ Apparently, *something* bothered you, yes????

I'm spending a lot of time here right now, because Master is away, over seas currently and I am going to be joining him shortly.  I've got time to pass at the moment, so I'm passing it here, learning, as I don't get to even see Him online very often right now.  I'm sad and a little depressed and to be honest the silliness and humor of the boards pick me up..yeah I guess that's a little sad in and of it' self, but hey, whatever helps, right?

And Level and Meat cleaver I love both your posts almost all of the time

Edited to add: We met online and moved to real life, YES internet love can happen

Now you're just lying to make Bosco happy.
Isn't this the age of Aquarius=all about telling the truth?

And me being an Aquarian :)

Thanks M, I forgot you met my Boston partner, who still occasionally asks about you, BTW.

Agreeing, as you know, isn't the point.  No one is going to be loved by everyone (except proudsub).  I would say "Even Jesus was hated" but we know what happened when Lennon tried that line and I have no desire to go down THAT path.

I offer a perspective.  Due to being a regular constant long term presence on the boards, I also know that my own perspective carries a certain history to it, and a certain built-in reaction.  But the board would not be the board without the constant influx of OTHER perspectives.  Mine is not always the most valid, most on point, most understanding or most applicable response.

But I'll still put it out there.

Thanks Playful.  It's good that people find useful stuff here- whether it's from me or not.

And of COURSE Brosco was pointing to me as part of his original post...don't you know the world is all about me and how it can adore me and anyone who does not must be cast asunder?

The poor guy seems to have a massive inferiority complex and shows it with vague passive aggressive behavior.  He criticises but doesn't have the courage to be specific so he can be shown to be inaccurate.

After reading a few of his posts, I decided he didn't have much to say so I've been pretty much skipping over his posts.

I think his intent is to create long notestreams so he can feel he has some control over the others on this board.

Greetings John,

And this is different from many other thread starters, how???
i must say, i in no way, shape or form, am condoning the words of Bosco, nor do i agree with much of what He says, but He is not alone in the category of " I am threadstarter, hear me roar. " Sometimes a thread is just started to make one feel better.  Maybe we should, as we do so many others, just pat His head and smile?????
*shrugs *

~edited to only add: Weeeee i'm on a roll today.  i have managed to stay in one thread longer than 5 minutes!! Wow, today might just be a good day for keeping up and paying attention!! Go ME!! ~

Many people don't, I believe.
I enjoy your posts...  If they are about politics, I think you are right on and fun to read and learn from; if however they are about personal relationships, you sound like you need a hug and a spanking.   M

I've never considered myself one for spanking but looking at your AV and you might have unearthed a hidden desire.

notestreams?   seriously? is that the best you got?  How about considering just the simple point of what i said.  It doesn't mean I'm right - but come on guys, just consider, has it occurred to you that you turn away newbies daily because you slam them?  Have you noticed that the regs sound like a 'one true way' crowd.   My sub wont come here and I have a lot of trust in her judgement.

PS: To the idiot that said I slammed LA by name - please show me where?

and let me guess you have an online relationship,  which was the real reason for the post to begin with.

If yoiu hadn't noticed, (and apparently from your post you haven't)  there are many opinions around here.  I certainly do not see the board as having any where near one voice.  So to answer your question , nope still don't see your point,  but got the question.

*reads... facepalms and sighs*  Okay... I'm done with this thread.  I can only waste my time on pointless things for so long.  I feel like I just killed some brain cells.

edited to state that my facepalming and sighing was NOT directed at PlayfulOne.  It's just a general kind of thing.

Quite possibly, however there are other newbies that dive straight in.... the diffrence being those that get slammed tend to be the ones who turn up with negative attitudes. This is a robust forum, not a kindergarten, no-one is mollycoddled here but most of those I have seen turning up with polite questions I have seen time and time again getting a possitive reception.

No, but I have noticed some people making that claim because THEIR OTW didn't go down too well here.

My girl posts here occassionaly and following the two instructions I gave her regarding this forum she has had no trouble what so ever.... 1) be polite 2) be yourself!

I certainly didn't see any direct refrence by you to LA.... though I will admit her name was the first to spring to mind when I wondered to whom you where refering

WoOt!!! It's devils advocate day !! Does it really matter, in the whole scheme of things, if He does??? Is that affecting *anyone's* life at all.  ( other than the fact that we are here, debating protocol and semantics? ) I think, that if you look at the giant picture, clean it up with some windex, take a step back, ( don't forget that smudge right there ), then you may notice, that all this poor Man is saying, is that we tend to jump to conclusions rather quickly.  i, for one, think that maybe his thread started out as a pure illustration of how silly we all must look to new people on occasion.  In a lifestyle, where we claim, to each thier own; your kink is not my kink; blah blah blah, we are probably bordering being as judgemental as many of the other "organizations" that scream " JUDGE YE LEST YE BE JUDGED".

Maybe i am completely off the mark here, however, this is how i see it.  Take it or leave it at the curb with a " Free" sign on it... someone will get something out of it.

Beth

I dont post often...(shy).  .but I do love to read the posts.  Being new to this I have so many questions and find that they are usually asked by someone...and I love when links are posted to other threads or sites.  I read all of them.   I skip over the people that I find have nothing to add or just seem to want to annoy people.  And I have my favorites...that I cant wait to hear what they have to say.   I am logged on here a lot, coming back and forth to check the site.  But I have a very full life...work..friends..children..etc.

P.S.  Thanks to all for some of the great advice

Maybe its because the OTW expressed here suits you and therefore you didnt notice,

I  have to say that I do like the forum if one wants to get into a debate/discussion/argument. but seriously to consider this place as one that can help those new, I just cant see it.  It just seems a place of regs that use their 'seniority' to shout each other down.  There clearly is a lot of knowledge and experience here, but it seems to be spent more on stroking egos, making moral judgements rather than helping others.

I'm not sure what happened to compassion in the lifestyle envisaged here.  Its sad to look at bitter men and doormats.  I've been in the lefestyle for over 30 years and have never encoutered such people.

Maybe I just too soft a Dom

We must not be reading the same threads.  The only times that I have seen anyone declare that there is OTW, a large ground of posters will jump in to let that person know that what works for some does not work for all.  I do not believe that there is ANYONE on this site that is so arrogant as to assume that they know what is best for all!

Again, I have to repsectfully disagree.  I have received a great deal of good advice from very helpful  members here, both newbies and old goats alike!  Sure there is some ego stroking and hilarity on these boards, but I think most of us are bound together to help one another.  Maybe my glasses are a bit rose colored but for the most part my experience has been positive, esp. on this side.  Now if you want to talk about egos and assholes on the other side....
