This is not a post to argue about policy.

I had a thought on another thread. I know it's a wrong thought. I know it would be downright fucked up to do, but I honestly think it would be effective.

If a person created an account for the purpose of posting a phone number of another person on a BDSM site, just to make that person's life miserable, I'm betting there could be some mileage out of that particular prank. Want to have all kinds of inappropriate calls incoming to your ex? Wouldn't that be a great way to do it? Kind of like the internet version of writing somebody's phone number on the wall of a public bathroom.

Like I said, this isn't a post to argue about policy of why personal/identifying information shouldn't be posted. If anything, it's probably related to why that particular policy is in place. It's just a fucked up (though funny) thought that I had.

I was watching some kind of past hits (music) show a while back. There really were a lot of folks with that actual phone number who got all kinds of calls when the song was popular. I thought it was funny then, too.

After I wrote this post, I was informed of what is called being "Barnes and Nobled". The idea is you fill out as many survey cards, magazine subscriptions, free trip cards, etc as possible. It gets someone put on every mailing and telemarketing list as humanly possible.

Laughing at a memory.

Someone, and no not me, got Generic Dude on some sex toy company, porn magazine, mailing list.

For awhile, several times a week, we would get catalogues for all kinds of sex shit, and adds for subscriptions for various porn magazines. It was great listening to him grumble as he went through the mail.

I still think he believes I did it, but alas, it wasn't me. Kudos to whoever it was!

I did that to an asshole neighbor once who was a cop. I mean the guy would rip the TV cable out of people's houses that he didn't like and tresspass to cut down trees that blocked his view.
I had a 3 year subscription to "Blueboy" magazine sent to him at the office just before I moved away.
As a result, they sold his address to multiple mailing lists and it went on and on and on and on.

When my daughter was still living at home, her and her friends would pull pranks on each other. One of them signed her up for baby magazines and freebies and crap. It was funny but annoying.
