Mirror Group Newspapers Britians biggest newpaper group, faces legal action by some of those claiming to have had their phones hacked. I doubt if anyone in the UK thinks this hasnt happened, so expect a story to rival that of Murdochs empire.

It was reported here that other media groups were suspected of and being investigated for this type of activities some months ago. I think the Mirror was named, though can go look if it matters.

But the lumpen press shares this kind of conduct in many countrys.

Here is the thing. The police investigated Murdochs empire and in doing so investigated the hackers. They must know which papers have been involved but seem very slow in bringing charges.

The damage is done, and with technology being what it is... its not going to get any better, Privacy is a false ideal.

That is what was mentioned if I recall correctly, that several other units of the trash press had been implicated, and that this activity went back for many years, a decade or more.

The English police have a reputation of being very meticulous about investigations, perhaps they wish to have the whole affair detailed and in proper order and all the specifications drawn up prior to submitting their evidence to the magistrates for formal charges.

Also, the case might be that Murdoch is the political target, and the rest regarded as mere side work.

The English Police "HAD" a reputation for being very meticulous. Sadly that is no longer the case.

Why would Cameron make Murdoch a target when both major parties were kissing Murdochs arse ?

Your civil servants are likely as opaque as those in many other countries in their motives and activities.
