Since the Birther thing failed, they have been circulating rumors that Obama was either questioned or disciplined for selling drugs on campus. There's been no credible testimony or evidence anyone researching these rumors that I am aware of that would cause me to even care what the college records contain.
I don't know that Obama could get anything beyond a transcript file without court proceedings. I called the Bursar's Office here and asked the extent of what the school would release with written consent in regard to me (and I am, as I believe the President is, without skeletons). The clerk had to actually call the Bursar, who replied that "only a transcript file can be released". When I asked what that file would contain, I was told; "Information pertaining to the student's complete and incomplete courses as well as the grades and university sponsored extra-curricular activities"
However, Gloria Allred gave consent from the ex-wife of Staples Founder, Tom Stemberg for the Massachusetts Probate court to release many hours of financial testimony given by Romney in the proceedings. The parties seeking this release are attorneys for the Boston Globe, so they must feel it's worth going after with all the risk of being discredited they face in doing so.
And those leaping to hit the bias button should take into account that Trump's coming forward is in the wake of Stemberg's ex agreeing to come forward and give consent. While they've been circulating all manner of rumor relentlessly since their ear-boxing on the birther issue, they just suddenly came up with this joke of an "October Surprise".
I doubt regardless of anything Obama releases, this welcher would pay up. He's a guy who got rich kicking the poor out of New York City to make it beyond the financial reach of middle class and low income Americans.
