Hillwilliam.....then I suggest you run for office.

Neither party would have me. I'm too pro gun, pro death penalty (oughta be on the town square) anti-union and anti affirmative action among a shitpile of other things for the Dems.

I'm too pro choice, pro gay marriage, pro alternative energy and anti giving religious groups and corporations special priveleges and many other things for the Reps.

In other words, I think for myself and no party would be stupid enough to accept someone they can't control.

I do hold an appointed position in the county govt if that counts but I have a feeling the mayor regrets it already.[8D]

Just some of the reasons we get along, Hill. County appointment? Hmmmmm ... that's enough to make you suspect to some (although, I think low-level government is almost more important, anyway). I have to ask: To which party does the County Administrator/Freeholder/Whatever belong?

Peace and comfort,

Rain-soaked Michael

There are no Democrat office holders in this county and haven't been for decades.
The last time our rep to the state house was a Dem was over a century ago. Even the cars at the welfare office have Romney stickers.

Toysinbabeland -> RE: A Tale of Two Tags (10/29/2012 11:41:30 AM)

Tazzy, i didn't find the need to. They are doing just fine.

mnottertail -> RE: A Tale of Two Tags (10/29/2012 11:46:46 AM)

So the message is:  In an American election, wear the hats of the guys that are insuring shipping your jobs overseas cuz it is cheaper, or something.

Is that the message?

Toysinbabeland -> RE: A Tale of Two Tags (10/29/2012 11:50:01 AM)

No, but this time let us vote for an american candidate.

mnottertail -> RE: A Tale of Two Tags (10/29/2012 11:51:01 AM)

Obama then, or did you mean the Mexican Romney?

Where were you in 1968 when a Republican who was born in Mexico spent a significant part of the time as front runner until he screwed up and Nixon took the nomination from him?

Toysinbabeland -> RE: A Tale of Two Tags (10/29/2012 12:02:11 PM)

No one who is not born a citizen should be able to run, period.

Lucylastic -> RE: A Tale of Two Tags (10/29/2012 12:03:20 PM)

They arent....only in little empty minds
As you werent there for the birth, you dont know..and you sure as hell dont have any proof he wasnt

And Obama partied in Vegas while four Americans died in Libya

Moonhead -> RE: A Tale of Two Tags (10/29/2012 12:04:17 PM)

So you'd be bitching about Sorebutt the Panamanian being in office if he'd won in 2008, rather than the scary Marxist from Kenya, would you?

They were both citizens no matter where they were born by the law of the land.

If at least one parent is an American citizen and the person spends a requisite number of years on American soil after age 13, they are a citizen of this country.

McCain's dad was an American citizen even though he was born in Mexico where his family patriarch had fled to escape persecution for polygamy.
Even if Obama had been born on Mars, he is a citizen because his mother was a citizen and he lived in the US.
This is why I feel that Birthers and their ilk are harming the Republican party. These fringe groups are not only ignorant, they take PRIDE in their ignorance and parade it up and down the street like it's St Paddy's Day in Boston or something.

Only on days that end with "y". All other days, he takes a break from being Stinkypig McLiarpants.

Well,  it's a defective mental block that causes regressives to reject reality, and interject some fantasy, and only fantasies devoid of fact.

Moonhead -> RE: A Tale of Two Tags (10/29/2012 12:25:57 PM)

I'm enjoying the whole "eight days tick tock" thang he has going on: maybe if teh Kenyan wins this one and Captain Magicpants fails to fiddle a recount, he'll explode and this is a countdown to his detonation?
