Right. Which is why I didn't appreciate being called a victim with a sense of entitlement by the likes of Mitt Romney.
In many ways, I was the type of voter he was looking for. Solidly middle class, small business owner, too old to have a personal dog in the fight for reproductive rights. But the minute I saw that video, I knew I had no interest in the man or his message.
I was a little disappointed when Obama said he was going to meet with him. He needs to stop trying to be conciliatory. Mitt is, as of today, completely irrelevant in American politics. His wife promised that if he lost, they were through with politics. Let them ride off into the sunset, and good riddance. Maybe he can spend the rest of his life trying to convert people to his stupid religion.

Had to laugh at this. I'm on the opposite coast, but I've always found it ironic that New York City consistently votes for liberal candidates even though we are notorious for being a ridiculously hard working city. I know people who have lived and worked in the city who left for other parts of the country for "lifestyle" issues - which, when you really press them, translates to "you people up here work too bloody hard - I need more balance". And I have to smile, because as I think through those people, every single one of them who moved is conservative. I realize small sample and all, but just funny. Yeah, we liberals are a slacker crowd. [:D]
