I talk to a lot of people online. Those I'm not planning on meeting, I couldn't care less if they are what they say they are. It's idle chit-chat, nothing more and nothing sexual. For the guys I was thinking of meeting, we chatted online. I never gave a pic, but gave an honest description of myself. I never invested much emotionally into the cyber relationship - I learned early on that chemistry online and chemistry in real-life are poles apart. If and when we decided to meet, I planned the meet around a shopping trip. If they were a no-show or there was no chemistry, I went shopping. What I refused to do was to get jaded about finding someone. As soon as you become jaded and cynical, it comes across in your communication. I was looking for a person with a positive outlook and I knew I needed to show the same. I have walked away from guys who insisted on pics early on in the chat, or wanted to cam or skype. I did things at my pace, and as it turns out that's what worked for me.
