Lol, we need an industrial cement mixer stat.

There's a lot of ingenious capitalist thinking here.

To think a zombie apocalypse could be defeated, by capitalism... I am sooo proud to be an american right now

WAIT...... wait..... Lance quit his Federal job not even a month ago......What makes you think the zombies have not taken over the government already????  I saw plenty of zombies inside the Executive branch.  And to tell the truth, most of what Congress mandates is pretty much ignored by the Civil Service...... ooh, ooh.... A double (maybe triple) oxymoron!

I lived in the Mountains of Arkansas and I know I could . As I told a friend if people ever tried to take over the US the could have the cities but once they got in the mountains and forest they would never leave . I was first generation not born on a farm EVER ! Zombies could never make it into the hills and if they did they would not last long . .50 cal Hawkins at 100 yards and they are down . I live near Houston but I know the back roads enough to get back to the hills . Once a month or so go back to town and get can goods and sharpen up the machete skills . Fire bombs and traps will slow them down enough to get things done . Take the heads off and add them to the fire . Lots of things to do to slow down and take out major mobs . Realy sad part of this is when my friends and I talked about all this we never thought about zombies .

Someone mentioned swords. I have a very fine blade from probably the finest Western bladesmith, Jim Hrisolas at Salamander armory. Considering the quality, they are not that expensive.

World War Z, this is how England prospered. They outfitted all their fighters in plate armor and used melee weapons. Couldn't get bitten through all that metal and a spiked ball flail does wonders to the undead skull. When they got tired, they just retreated inside castles. Then rinse and repeat. Simple, elegant solutions

Technically, being undead IS a form of disability

Depends on the plastic.

And all this kind of reminds me of one of the middle management at a public office nearby telling my old man "don't let them turn you into one of the walking dead", dead serious. Real horror movie moment right there. Course, she was right to warn him. Lots and lots of those pesky undeads among the beurocrats already, and it is contagious.

The world is sadly full of corporate drones. Zombies would be an improvement.

Somewhere in my loft I have a Sikh ceremonial sword. Its edge was blunted, as per regulations, but I can re-sharpen it with my angle grinder. That, and some hiking/climbing skills - I think I might last a day or two.

Somewhat off the subject and aimed at Northern Europeans (I understand they don't grow elsewhere) - has anyone eaten stinging nettles? Are they good? They're very prolific here, even in the cities. Edible when boiled, so I hear.

Bicycle pumps. The shot-gun equivalent of supersprayers.

Come to think of it: I can fire-blow (through my mouth, that is). Handy!

Peon, they have them in Canada. I know up in Edmonton, Alberta has several. I don't mind them, but so many people don't understand how to use them. That being said, I have never seen an accident at a traffic circle.

Peon, we have the occasional roundabout, mostly in the NEW ENGLAND states, but by god their bars close at a decent hour.

We don't have Arthur Treachers fish and chips with malt here in the midwest, so there are things I do miss about England.

The town I live in now has more roundabouts than I have ever seen. There are some stretches of road where there is a roundabout every 200 yds. Some people are still apparently baffled by how they work, if the driving is anything to go by.

How long since you've been the UK? We have all-night drinking now.
