Well, it is Cracked, Fats. I realize they take all sorts of irreverent commentary to provide content for the website, of varying degrees of integrity, but c'mon. It's like the National Enquirer breaking a story that leads to a one time Senator, Presidential candidate, and Vice-Presidential nominee being indicted and tried in federal court or something. Wait... That might not be a good example.

How many times did you comment on stuff going on during the run up to the elections, how many times did you decide the abortion and war on women was not worth talking about?
Huge swaths of righties and libertarians, were silent, seem to have vanished, how many rah rah Mitt threads were there ???

I chimed in often enough, on what a talking points crock of shit the "war on women," was, Lucy, and you can reliably find me on any abortion thread I find the time and inclination to click on, declaring my full support for the right of asshole men to hand her a couple hundred bucks, and tell her to get rid of it.

Even on a lazy Saturday, when the window stays open all day, I do have other things going on than contributing to every damn thread that gets started.

I started a topic on succession??? Do tell.

Nobody denies racism, or more so bigotry (there is a difference between the two) do not exist. However the thread you are speaking about was whether or not one could bitch and complain about America being a racist country and in the wake of electing a black man as its President, not once but twice how foolish and tiresome that notion as become.

This tread topic is how the media takes a mole hill and turns it into a mountain to foster a political story. Much like given legs to a non story about a zealous preacher with nine followers who wants to burn a book into an international incident.




So you never mentioned the following in the OP then ?

As for post 18# in which you ask "how can a post be racist ?" it took me ages to stop laughing........ It`s the content and the intention behind the post that makes it racist.

Status: offline 		Last night (Friday) Lawrence O'Donnell did a segment about the secession petitions and showed an interview (he did not conduct it) with the author of the Alabama petition. This man said he started the petition because Obama has stolen too many of our rights already and secession is the only option to get them back and that Obama has been bad for business. O'Donnell then pointed out that the this petitioner is a former businessman; he owned a topless car wash--a car wash staffed by bare breasted women. A couple of years ago his town initiated an obscenity ordinance which put the car wash out of business. Obama had nothing to do with that.

It just all bat crap crazy.
