I'd just like to add that permanent damage aside, the skin on the nipples is delicate and thin, and once broken, prone to infection. Infections in the nipple can travel into the milk ducts and make a woman really ill. As someone that has experienced it, I strongly advise close attention to hygiene if there is the remotest chance of broken skin. Caning though, I can't help. I'm a huge wimp and so none of our caning scenes have come remotely close to drawing blood.
