Disgusting. I could not even read the entire article. It is like Groundhog Day--this kind of incident happens again and again...and the community blames the rape victim.

The burden of blame seems to be on any rape victim rather it is a gang of football players or just one sick son of a bitch.

There should be (not saying their is currently, but if their isn't, it needs to be set in place) a way to ring in a judge from somewhere else to try the case. From the County, State or other level.

This just goes to show that the whole attitude of "its the girl's fault" is still prominent and how we, as a society, place boys on pedestals in such events. The photos were sickening, this was a girl who was in no condition to give any sign of consent. People stood around and snapped photos on their phones while not even attemnpting to prevent what was happening. And, when she came forward, she is the one attacked.

Okay there is photographic proof of the attack on the girl. The town seems to blame the girl for "letting it happen." Maybe a bunch of vigilantes from around the country needs to be gathered up to deal with the football team and the people that stood around and did nothing but take pictures. Clearly the town is not going to do shit.

They dragged their feet long enough that the kids who took photos deleted them... all except one of the kids who is charged. Can you believe the arrogance of that? And the photos he had didnt show any sexual contact.. just her naked and obviously drunk. The photos that were obtained were grabbed off the net before kids deleted them from there.

You get dumb asses that do this, and you get dumb asses that do the opposite (ie. the Duke Lacrosse team). Neither is acceptable. When the guilty are identified and tried, those that were watching, but didn't come forward to help the police, and those that took pics should all be tried as accomplices. Unfortunately, we only have a few pictures to identify the onlookers and other photog's.
