After going through sites like this one, facebook, and similar ones, I noticed that you have the option to pick what interest, subject, or activity you like, however, I also noticed you can't explain any details of how you are associated with your interests, with the exception of rating system sometimes. So I wondered, what if you could add a description of your ideas and experiences next to the particular interest. Like for example:

Hypnosis - I only recently began to have an interest in this and so far it looks exciting. I'm interested in every way this can be used like suggestion, erotic, stimulus and I'm also fascinated by the science and process behind it, as well the history behind it. I haven't hypnotized anyone yet nor have I been hypnotized.

I do see some drawbacks to this like the page becoming cluttered making the interface hard to interact with. The descriptions can be used to advertise sites, not talk about the actual subject and such instead of going into details. There is also a question of where exactly to put the text whether or not to put it in its own category or tab. I suppose to show what is in your interests is a advertisement of experience in itself saying, "I like this certain thing, but to what about, why, and to what extent do I like it? I will only tell if you contact me and are seriously interested in this." This seems to be narrowed down instead of the broad choices the general discussion of details to be had so I can see how this option can affect that meetings and searches.
I can see this working if its edited, put in the right places where it works and given the right circumstances. Thoughts anyone?

Additional details are what the profile text box, your journal, and CMail are for. There's really no reason to recode the entire site when you already have three perfectly viable options for what you're describing.

That's what your profile is for. If it's something that is important to you then put it in your profile. Knowing something someone is passionate about or wants to learn about or something close to them, it's refreshing and nice to read something like that and finding out why instead of just seeing a checkmark and rolling your eyes that they are an expert at everything on the lists.
