FelinePersuasion, I get the same problem in summer. Since you have gone to a doctor over this probably dozens of times *as I have* I won't say that, lol. What works for me is very simple; I use triple antibiotic ointment. Back to the original subject... I'm chronic for vaginal yeast and bacterial overgrowth, and as soon as I stop the prescription given to me by a doctor, the next day it's back. Btw, even doctors will tell people to do "home remedies" like yogurt applications and douching when their own bag of tricks have failed. My current gyn told me to do a daily vinegar and water douche, then told me to stop when it got worse. My family doc had me using Metro every time I came to her...back then, I was trying hard to get rid of it and went 2-3 times per month. Anyway, when I read the fine print, the stuff said it could give cancer in the vagina. I haven't used it since. I have AZO Yeast pills in front of me now, and plan to get cranberry and acidophilus. I thought cranberry was only for UTI's, but am willing to try anything...well, not quite anything...I wouldn't try Draino or kerosene [:D] Btw, long time ago, I read that some men can carry yeast in their ejaculate and be asymptomatic, and that only a wet mount would detect it. If I had a partner and kept getting a yeast infection after sex, and the topical treatments for him didn't work, I'd have the doctor check this out. Anyone else ever have save sex with a condom, then see the guy scratchin afterward and saying that he has "jock itch"? Holy cow, that was the worst yeast infection I've ever had in my life... Ty for sharing info. :) And apologies to those I may have given TMI. [:D]
