j69, why don't you hang out on this side and talk to folks. Finding someone to play with on a major holiday on short notice is damn near impossible.
One thing you can do is hang out over here and talk to folks, gain knowledge and make yourself look better to potentials. That way, next new years eve, you won't be looking for someone. She'll already be with you.
