Hello :)

After research and playing with clothes pins, I got my first pair of nipple clamps. I have done research, but I still have a few questions.

First, I read that the max amount of time recommended is fifteen minutes, followed by massaging the area to help the blood flow...but I haven't found any information on repercussions after long term use. Do they effect a woman's ability to breast feed later in life? What if I end up getting a cut right on the nipple; how would I treat the area?

My second question is about the plastic guards on the clamp itself. I have tried to leave them on but when Master pulls on them they just slide right off. He thinks perhaps we should remove them, but since the metal underneath has little teeth, we are unsure if it is safe. We did try it without the guards, and they didn't slide off...but I just want to be sure.

Any extra advice would be greatly appreciated :) the little buggers are proving to be a bit of a bother, but I want to figure them out because He really likes pulling on them lol

If you're only using them 15 minutes at a clip, there should be no long term problems. If you get a small cut, don't play until it heals. I usually use neosporin on cuts, but nipples are hard to put band aids on. About teeth, some people enjoy them and others don't. Since you're new, you probably wouldn't. Instead of using these, why not look around for other clamps. Look in the hardware store, the grocery store, the dollar store. If there appears a way to lessen the tension, that would be best.

Also they're most likely to come off if he's putting them just on the nipple itself instead of back on the areola.

For light play I suggest medium weight clamps with rubberized tips.
Screw type clamps are also good to get a grip and control intensity.
I'm a hardcore nipple play type, clover clamps ;)
