Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read this thread ^^ I recently was approached by a "submissive" who began by asking me about a specific BDSM activity and if I enjoy it. I sort of indulged in conversation with her, telling her my viewpoint on it (positive) and then we exchanged Skype accounts. She sent me pictures (as far as I can determine, they are legitimate) and she asked for a normal video call. I tried that but then realized that she was not having video or audio herself, so I stopped and explained that I was only interested in a face to face conversation. She apologized repeatedly, then went on to explain that it was some technical issue. It did not look to me as a scam, so we proceeded to chat, but the discussion was mostly about her asking me how I would do X and Y to her, over and over. I indulged her for a while then got tired of the repetition, so I told her "Bottom line: Yes I enjoy doing that, so if you do too, talking about the minute details over and over again is a bit pointless" I was way more interested in getting to know her and so on.She responded by apologizing repeatedly again for wasting my time and then went offline. I was kind of taken aback by the situation, so I turn to you for advice ^^. Was I mistaken in my approach? Was she just weird? Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated.

That would be my first impression as well. I dread at the possibility of those pictures being from an unknowing acquaintance. Perhaps I should report the profile?

There isn't really anything to report, without proof that the pictures are not theirs... lesson learned and move on is the best bet...

It was a guy who wanted to jerk off or keep jerking off. Any woman who approaches you out of the blue about a sexual activity is someone to be suspicious of, particularly if that's all they want to talk about.

FR~ Mind you, it could be a chick. Girls are into anonymous wanking too, and guys are more likely to accuse you of being a fake when you don't want to talk about it anymore whereas girls are more likely to be meekly apologetic and fade away. Bottom line though, they won't be into meeting and putting their money where their mouth is either. That's why I always jump to coffee before getting involved.

I realize there is software that can make a male sound like a female, but I don't think the average wanker is going to have it. Girls get be just as bad as men in wanting to just cyber sex. Either way Dread, you handled it just fine. Extra points for worrying that some poor unsuspecting female had her photos stolen.

I know some men who are seeking relationships who tell me that some women do approach them and ask details (what will you do to me, etc.) just as men do this to women. We cannot generalize that the woman he spoke to was a man; it might just be a woman who wants to find a man who will fulfill her exact needs. Sort of like a fetish delivery system, which we all encounter. There are preferences like these on both sides and genders.
