I am inclined to agree with LW on this one.. I have watched that catfish show and the very first one, they say that they have thousands of people that sent emails after watching the movie and wanted to tell him their story of how they "met"someone via facebook/online and fell in love but had never met...  Even the guy that is the inspiration for the Tv show, it was an indie movie first, was fooled by a 40 yr old woman with disabled kids pretending to be a 20 something yr old girl.. I mean complete with friends and having those people "post" on her facebook wall...  that show is insane at the lengths that the people went to hide their true identies and have these people fall for them..

When I heard the story I laughed because the first thing that came to my mind is the male subs who come here with their similar stories lol.

oooohhhhh.....I do. I see it aaaalllll the time, online and off. I actually think it's quite common anymore with the people I meet. Today's society seems naive and gullible on just about everything. It should shock me these days but it doesn't. It's extremely easy to scam people in this day and age.

People just don't want to think.They want to believe it's all real. They want to fool themselves because it's so much better than reality.
