A friend sent me the following via email....too cool not to share
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The guy flying the 3 kites is in his 80s, and he's from Canada. He comes to the Washington State International Kite Festival every year. His skin is like leather as he normally flies with his shirt off. He is deaf, so when he flies we hold our hands up and wave them for applause. He flies 2 with his hands and the 3rd one is attached to his waist.
You must watch to the end to see the amazing landing of that last kite! I would have those kite’s so tangled up, you could never get them separated again! And of course, make sure the volume is turned up because the music is wonderful and totally reflects the soaring of the kites. Beautiful.
Enjoy!
Wow!
Kites were a big part of my childhood, whether flying them in contests or engaging in one-on-one duels,. so this was truly a delight to watch.
Many thanks!
When I was a kid we flew kites about a mile up, and left them up there all night long...we lived a couple of miles away from Miami INternational Airport. I don't know how the Jets didn't hit them...LOL
wow, that was amazing. I used to have trouble getting one in the air and keeping it up. I can't even imagine working 3 at one time.
Amazing, thanks for sharing.
Unfortunately, there was a kite eating tree in the acreage around the house. It was even armed with a kite magnet. I could be on the opposite side of the house flying a kite, and the dang thing would still end up in that damn tree.
