This all started a month ago, and you still have no answers? What kind of quack is her doctor? White blood cells in the urine is an infection. She was treated, but it apparently didn't go away. She is still having pain and nearly two weeks without the results of the ultrasound?

ShaharThorne -> RE: Concern Mom post... (3/4/2013 7:03:14 PM)

The ultrasounds are not showing a thing so I am calling her primary tomorrow to set up an appt. for the 12th. This is driving both of us nuts. If my old OB/GYN was still in business, I would of contacted him and force him to do the exploratory lap. No stone is showing up so it is making me think that the old family curse is here...damn endo...she does not deserve to suffer like this.

I am also calling her OB/GYN and see if they can schedule a meeting with her on Thursday. I can't see Lizard until next week and the doctor is taking that week off.

Is there no doctor covering his practice for that week? The 12th sounds like a long time for her to wait if she is in pain.

ShaharThorne -> RE: Concern Mom post... (3/5/2013 6:40:41 AM)

That is for her primary doctor. Got the appt. set up already. She just has to take pain killers and I am about to contact the OB/GYN. I am going crazy, Mom is going crazy and Lizard is not enjoying this mess. I had to deal with it when I was DXed with the endo...

This is where I want a fifth of rum...

UPDATE!

Blood is still showing up in her urine but her cramps are not as severe. Her primary has a CT scan scheduled for Monday and the urologist is seeing her on the 28th (earliest she can see him). During this time, Mom decides to remind me that my paternal grandfather died from kidney cancer back in '86.

Meanwhile, her doctor has her on some pills to help her poop. Seems like she is stopped up and did not tell anyone about it. Her intestines are not moving like they should, so these pills will make the motion flow better or as she calls it explosive diarrhea. She has no idea what she is talking about unless she has one of my IBS attacks...

We did get her a new mattress to sleep on and that is helping out with her back.

After shopping today, she and I have to work on the paperwork the urologist mailed to her to take back on the 28th. Thank goodness he is in the insurance network...

ShaharThorne -> RE: Concern Mom post... (3/29/2013 4:59:56 AM)

The urologist reviewed the tests and is running cultures on her urine. He is recommending a kidney specialist to take a look as well.

Meanwhile, I am telling her to carry her meds with her all of the time. She has her Depo shot scheduled for the 14th of May, after the end of Spring semester.

I am also trying to deal with her HIIPA paperwork...she does not realize that each doctor has their own procedure for sharing test results and so forth.

Now to get Mom taken care of...she 'leaks' and uses numerous pantiliners each day. I offered her mine which I don't use anymore (too thick).

chatterbox24 -> RE: Concern Mom post... (3/29/2013 7:54:27 AM)

I used the depo shot twice to relieve very heavy periods. The first shot I had break out bleeding for a month straight I never did before! and it messed with my moods. But it was effective with my period control, but I gave it up because it made me irritable. I just lived with heavy periods and used alot of pain meds.
I had mild endo and it is painful, so having it badly has to be terrible. I recommend she have a lap. to rule out cysts, and severe scarring which can lead to future problems. My sister in law almsot died with a ruptured ovarian cyst. They can lazer those areas in endo and make a world a difference.
