I met Elrond25 today, and it was -excellent-.

Small world, too. Turns out he was a regular at a store I worked at three years ago. We saw each other and said "Didn't you..."

We met for coffee, talked games, talked gaming, talked around various things (public setting, not into non-consensually involving other people in our play).

Coffee turned into dinner, which was lovely. There was a little, very subtle, unspoken power negotiation between us, feeling out the potential and how the other would respond.

It looked a lot like a vanilla first date, which was amazingly gratifying to me. I haven't dated in a long time, and this was non-threatening, welcoming, with a hint of what we might be able to explore together.

We're seeing each other again next week...
