It's kind of like how everyone believes that someone who is overweight with diabetes, has diabetes because they are overweight. There are many other factors involved, and if being fat (I really hate that word) was the major contributor to diabetes, many more people would have it. Each person, whether modifying their diet due to a health issue or simply to lose weight, the method of doing so can be as variable as people are different. The best thing for TFB would be to live separately from her parents, but financially, that simply isn't possible. Taking over the cooking of dinner would work well if her mother will let her, but I'm doubtful about that being an options. Filling up on salad and not overdoing the hamburger helpful would be a good start. For the record, I happen to like hamburger helper, and for those that are financially strapped, it is a good way to make enough food for your (general your) family to get enough to eat. This is one of the reasons so many poor people are overweight. They need to stretch their food budgetl
