Hello

I was wondering if because I am in the military would you think twice on considering me?

theRose4U -> RE: Does this cause you pause? (2/13/2013 4:51:27 PM)

Considering some of the most sought after subs on here were trained by uncle sam, I would say no...but I would STRONGLY suggest for clearance reasons you remove face pic immediately!

msjustlooking -> RE: Does this cause you pause? (2/13/2013 4:52:35 PM)

I used to be in the military. I am now a disabled vet. I have had several subs in the past who were in the military. So a sub being in the military is not a factor with me (even though I have lost a good sub or two when they got reassigned.) To be honest I am bit biased and would probably be more likely to take on a sub who is in the military than one who is not.

Depends on what we're talking about as far as consideration. If you mean for an ongoing relationship then yeah it might be an issue for me just because of the possibility of your relocation/location. Personally I don't do online/long distance so it would be a problem if you were based somewhere outside of the Chicago area.

If we took that out of the equation, and if I were otherwise interested, the military angle wouldn't be a minus for me at all.

OP,

I’ve had several wonderful LTRs with active military men so it would not be an automatic deal breaker but it would be a major discussion point for me.

Among things we'd have to discuss the possibility of relocation and or deployment. I know that someone's job within the military plays a huge role in that.

As well as your plans within the military would also affect how I conducted myself from my tattoos, to my job, to how open I was about my lifestyle choices.

I know you are asking people who are looking and probably half My age, but I'll clue you in. Both of My guys are military. My other half is coming up on eighteen years and My sub already has his twenty year letter.

Oh, and Rose, that's not always true anymore. As long as he's not in uniform and doesn't post content that violates the UCMJ, he's good. The repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell extends to us kinky folks, too. Huge relief in some areas for us.

Wow a lot of feed back and I appreciate it thank you.

LittleMsMary I understand about the long distance which I am not interested in much more than necessary.

~FRing it~

Nope, I wouldnt have a problem with an active duty military person either. There are things to discuss of course, but military service wouldnt be a deal breaker for me.

alphaminuz -> RE: Does this cause you pause? (2/13/2013 5:37:25 PM)

That is comforting ty

RumpusParable -> RE: Does this cause you pause? (2/13/2013 10:47:56 PM)

Am a disabled vet. Military service in and of itself wouldn't be an issue to me, no. But I would approach with caution to find out what sort (as in attitude) of military member you are.

What do you mean by that or should I say can you please help enlighten me?

Happy Valentines Day

I think most military people are viewed positively. I feel military men, are gentlemen, who are leaders or know how to be lead. The only potential downside, is your location, or need for relocation. M

Very True

I was married to a military partner (navigator on aircraft carrier). It worked well for us for several years until the marriage dissolved because of a different issue. Nothing's as good as 'in person' but now with so many ways to stay in touch during the separations it would be bearable. In some ways, I'd actually prefer a military sub. I enjoy 'missing him' when he's away and the reunions when he returns...as long as he stays in touch to my satisfaction both here and abroad/at sea.

Just because she said what I thought, not all MOS are the same, not every branch is the same. A marine or fighter pilot could be more resistant or disciplined based on individual personality but likely more work, where as a POG wouldn't be worth the effort. MOS would also determine emotional risk for the domme. We invest in our subs in many ways, having "super sub" in mine sweeping where oops means they die must be weighed (like it or not).

Its the military version of "are you a submissive obedient personality, or just in it for your dick"?

MistressDarkArt Thanks for sharing that.

theRose4U Thank you for explaining that
