ok I have been on CM on and off for a few years but just the other day I clicked on the view my posts button on my profile and found posts with my user name that were not me, dated way back in 2004....just kinda freaky I guess someone else had the name and then quit? But now should I go back and delete this old posts? I thought I had commented on post here recently but that was not in the list so I guess this is my first post, so hello everyone.

You can't delete posts, only the Mods can do that. As you have guessed there was probably someone who used the same nick on here at one time. Welcome to the forums.

Welcome to the forums. While I think it's interesting that the forum posts are connected with a username rather than a specific account that is represented by a username, it doesn't strike me as particularly surprising that your particular username would have been used before. A number of profiles use the word "slave" in some way, and a number of profiles use a name, like Crystal. Crystal isn't a particularly unusual name, so it makes sense that at least one person who's been here before would have used it.

I was surprised that it was accepted too but even more surprised when I found those posts were connected to the name
