Thanks, Master96, Some years back I had a puppy which at first I kept in one room with a baby gate until she got a better grip on the housebreaking routine. One evening I went over the gate to get her to take her outside and the gate was a bit high and I stepped over with my foot firmly hitting the floor, (I had no idea but earlier in the day a glass had slipped from my son's hands in the next room and he believed he had gotten all the glass up) well it just so happened that there was a thin piece sticking straight up on the other side of the gate. My foot came down on the piece of glass with all my weight bearing down on the pad under my toes hitting that piece of glass. It went in and so far up I could not reach it with a tweezers, I could feel it way up in my foot. I ended up having to go to the ER, they had to numb the pad of my foot deeply to go in and search around for this piece of glass. It took 6 shots of novacaine, each one almost sending me through the freakin' ceiling, a shot of novacaine in the mouth held no comparison. The tetnus shot in the arm wasn't pleasurable either. The doctor had to search for that sucker entering the bottom of my foot several times and moving the instrument around til he got ahold of it. It was a necessary because if not found it could have reeked terrible havoc for my foot. I am glad to hear you have come to your senses, I wouldn't wish that experience on anyone. *Brightspot

All too often one encounters broken glasses or bottles and that is what I expected the person was talking about. The curved shape of such fragments pose a significant risk.

Of course some people would do it dumbasses abound. But intelligent people would pass on doing something like this, unless they are the type who want to shock others by telling them what extreme play they are into. Frankly if someone was bragging to me that they did this, I wouldnt be thinking OH wow! Id be thinking DUMBASS. Just my opinion ~Lashra

fast reply..... No one has yet to mention one other possible problem that is sometimes associated with glass, so I will just in case anyone reads this and considers this to be an ok risk to take. Glass, due to it's non porous nature can sometimes be an object that is not easily rejected by the body. Instead of working it's way back out it can actually work it's way farther in. This could cause serious problems. Broken glass play is not something that I would recommend.

Fast Reply: What would happen if, before blindfolding the submissive, one had a simple pane of window glass and a big hammer in view; but, after blindfolding...a piece of safety glass was broken? Or...the window glass broken in a box (for the sound effects), but previously broken safety-glass cast upon the floor. I don't know enough about 'safety glass' to know for sure...that it's safe, I mean...but I have seen the bits of it after broken and, while it probably is worse than walking on dried peas.......would/could it hurt somebody to walk upon it? Just curious... bearlee

Safety glass is either glass that is coated or glass that is tempered so that it breaks into smaller pieces and not large, possibly penetrating shards. You can still, however, get cut on safety glass. It is designed to minimize injury...but not completely stop the possibility of one.

Another, much safer thign to do is to have her kneel on good ol' GRITS. These dig and and oh, man, after a few minutes it's awfully painful, but they won't make cuts requiring stitches or even break the skin.

It would not be used as punishment nor would glass. I use to prefer rice and clear carpet runner with the points up to be knelt on. Glass is something that is far too extreme for Me nor do I have the ability to safely determine the outcome

Nor was I offended, frightened or "squicked". I was perplexed and concerned. Does that count? Please try to be specific. Honestly I have a hard time imagining anyone being shocked by such a display. Mostly it just seems....ummmmm...well.....dumb. Even if the glass were laid out flat there are lots of things that can go wrong and cause the glass to cut. The only way to completely avoid risk would be to have the person stand completely still on flat glass. Oh now there's a good time. What does one do for a grand finale? Stare into space? Since I am likely "ignorant" I think I shall pass on this kind of excitement. I'm not sure my heart could take it.

I was thinking exactly the same. Thank you for pointing this out. If done carefully, there may be a couple shards that enter here and there, but unless the person walking is not treading lightly, I can't imagine being cut very deeply. It deepends on the size of the pieces. I would crawl across a floor of broken glass for my Master. No question.

The OP asked a question to find out if something could and should be done. Rather then going ahead, he questioned something in "Health and Safety". That seems rather responsible to me. Many ask questions about extreme play. It certainly doesn't mean all of our submissives are in danger. To the OP: ask anything you want. That's how you learn. MsCameron
