Can the South be trusted to ensure that ALL people get a fair vote at the ballot box? This also goes for towns in the North and elsewhere that is affected by this law.Let history be a reminder. After Reconstruction here in the USA,the Notherns finally went back up North, trusting the Southern states to make sure Black people and people of color were treated fairly.Instead, after the "Yankees" went back up North, the South went through a century of Jim Crow racist laws.simliar to Apartheid in South Africa. Now,I highly doubt the US would ever go back to those days again. However,to think racism has disappeared is an illusion.Racism still exists, its just not as bad as it use to be.Voting is an American right and any attempt to limit that vote is not democracy.
