jlf1961 -> Catch 22 or just bullshit? (3/9/2013 4:58:57 AM)

I have come across a few profiles on the other side that really make no sense. They are written with good grammar but there is a little something that does not add up.

Profiles read: "I am loyal" "I am faithful" "One man woman" and stuff along those lines.

Then there is: "I am looking for honest, loyal, one woman man"

So far so good, right?

Then: "I am in a relationship" "I am married"

Followed by: "He doesn't know"

Finally: "I will leave him if I find the right Master/Dom"

The last does not give much faith in the loyal or faithful statements, does it?

tha loyalty must be dependant on their satisfaction/happiness

either that or its some sorta split personality disorder.

My own observation is that a LOT of people are able to compartmentalize in ways I am not.

It certainly begs the question of how loyal or faithful they will be.

Not many will just jump into a marriage or relationship just out of convenience do they.
So that presumes they thought they were a loyal and faithful person to their partner - at least at the start.
And now they are saying they will jump ship if/when they meet the 'right person'?

That in itself does not give anyone any confidence to take them on does it. [:D]

Sure it does. Like finds like. Any honorless narcissist would understand and empathize with the line of reasoning.

It may just mean that their partners have already broken the marriage contract. So they feel themselves free to move on emotionally but are not yet able to do so physically.

If you enter into a contract to provide 20 units of X in exchange for $50, and you haven't been paid for the last shipment then you probably won't feel that you have to keep shipping cartons of X. Some people feel that when their partner has already killed the marriage, they don't have to still keep their half of the bargain.

I'm not going to say who is right or wrong. Because I've never yet seen a relationship where one person is all that and a bag of chips while the other is the epitome of a lying, cheating scumbag. YMMV.

Profiles like that make me laugh because obviously my definition of loyalty, honesty, and faithfulness are completely different.

Maybe they are faithful & loyal in the same way a monkey is faithful to the branch its hanging from...until it reaches for the next branch.
