Nope. It's absolutely NOT ok to give someone's username as you have done.

As far as the okayness of her requesting tribute to proceed - it's okay if YOU think it is. Otherwise, move on. I'd move on.

You don't expect to get anything for your money except for the pleasure of donating it to this person, right? If that's ok with you, then it's fine with me. It's not something I'd be interested in, but I have nothing to do with how you spend your money now do I?

I don't know. Do you want to contact this person so badly that you're willing to spend $50 for the privilege of sending a message? You're a grown up and I'm sure you are capable of weighing up the risks and rewards.

But yeh, posting someone's username like that is not ok.

did you notice the large red words at the top of every mail that warns you NOT to pay money to people for anything?

The determination of "ok" around this joint has everything to do with ToS and the forum guidelines. It's actually not against ToS for any person to say they require a tribute for communications. (The site does warn people not to send money to strangers, but it doesn't demand that you refrain from doing it.) Of course, you're not required to send money any more than the person is required to talk to you.

Of course, seeing that nice Mod edit to your original, I'd be more worried about the latter. Knowing that somebody is the type to blacklist or out others regarding activities are generally the types I stay away from.
