Often times, subs will ask if I am "gentle or strict Dom". My anwser is that I am a "Picky Bastard Dom". [;)] I don't necessarily see Myself as too gentle or overly strict, but I do have a very certain way that I like things done. My questions is, do you see yourself as being, or have you been told, that you are too picky about how you prefer things? ~ LD

Everyone's been told that they're doing everything wrong at some point- especailly by someone who isn't getting what they want from you. The question subs get is "How submissive are you?" It's just as stupid a question (yes, there are stupid questions). Sometimes I answer "I'm a 7.6 on the Winston-Schaler scale of submission" or "I'm more submissive than a piece of toast"

I would wonder, too picky for whom? According to whom? You want what you want. I see nothing wrong with that. I had a recent conversation with someone, in which I said one of the things that I admire most about my Master is that he knows what he wants and doesn't compromise it. He does not yield to my whim, but teaches me to adjust to his. It works for us. Any other way would have me looking at him differently. Mind you, the "pickier" you are about something, the more challenging it is to attain. If your qualiifications for a submissive were 5'4, blonde, green eyes, 130 pounds, and a birthmark behind her left knee, for example, it might take longer to sate your desire than if you altered your quest a bit. [;)]

yeah but all you kids now is how submissive white bread toast is. When I was young our standard was stone mill ground rye bread, now THAT was submissive bread. The internet has ruined all that, now all sorts of bread is used as the standard, heck in a chatroom they were using crackers as the comparison!

You can put a round peg in a square hole, but you can't put a square peg in a round hole. (no pun intended) I loved the little home made signs you used to see at gas stations, next to the coke machine, above the wooden crates for the empty coke bottles... "IQ Test: Put the round bottle in the square hole". Personally I prefer to be strict and loving, firm but fair, very demanding of course... and if backed into a corner I'll tear your head off and excrement down your neck... and all the other mean stuff too.

hell I been called overly picky and again another time I was told I am too soft and gentle ... dammmm and I'm a mean ass Sadist too. I suppose like beauty how we are percieved is in the eye or mind or the perciever. <shrugs> just my evil opinion
