How I am partly to blame for Mass Immigration

The greatest mass migration in our history has taken place.
...

It wasn't because we liked immigrants, but because we didn't like Britain. We saw immigrants - from anywhere - as allies against the staid, settled, conservative society that our country still was at the end of the Sixties.

Also, we liked to feel oh, so superior to the bewildered people - usually in the poorest parts of Britain - who found their neighbourhoods suddenly transformed into supposedly 'vibrant communities'.

If they dared to express the mildest objections, we called them bigots.

...

The thing that made these new residents different was culture - language, customs, attitudes, sense of humour.

Rather than them adapting to our way of life, we were adapting to theirs.

This wasn't integration.

It was a revolution.

Yet nobody - especially their elected representatives - would listen to them, because they were assumed to be Powellite bigots, motivated by some sort of unreasoning hatred.

I now believe that the unreasoning hatred comes almost entirely from the liberal Left.

It really does seem so many hate their society. Perhaps even hate the color of their skin. Want to change it. The grass is greener on the other side of the fence sort of mentality.

I despise Tex-Mex food. I should demand such restaurants offer Pizza. It's my right to go there and be accommodated. I should not have to adapt. That's what is happening, in Britain, the EU, the States...

Even the AP is changing its ways concerning the term "illegal immigration". Trying to balance on the head of the political correctness pin. The underlying theme being "Thou shalt not offend!"

The company's decision comes after years of controversy over the term. Fusion, the ABC-Univision joint venture, does not use "illegal immigrant" because we believe it dehumanizes those it describes and we find it to be linguistically inaccurate.

Linguistically inaccurate? Well, perhaps so. As Jay Leno opined, "Undocumented Democrat".

"When I was a Revolutionary Marxist, we were all in favour of as much immigration as possible.

So now this dude has gotten older and become one of the "staid, settled, conservative society".. just like the boomers in the US.. the ones that were gonna change the world.. the ones that protested against wars.. protested against govt.. they have over time become their parents or even much worse.. the "free love & peace" generation have turned into the "me & greed" generation..

just sayin'

The liberal left ? Not even a nice try. [They] were almost all called illegal immigrants only because they weren't white, conservative and Tory.

Whites were the drunken Irish sloth, or the rent-seeking Italians, or .....Germans, French and so on...identified and denigrated as necessary by their country of origin.

The rest were well...illegal immigrants and should be deported.

The part of a sonnet found on the Statue of Liberty writen by Emma Lazarus

New Colossus

Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,
With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.
"Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she
With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

Peter Hitchens is just a fart who writes in a farty newspaper, Yachtie. There's really nothing much else worth saying about him.

I don't disagree with you. But there are at least a few people here who would see red and start rolling up their sleeves reading that. Hopefully they'll be around soon to put on a show. Hot butter and salt?

Well, if that's what gives them fun times. I don't know how much I can be bothered to argue about the man, though. He's just one of those people who has an extra rectum where his brain should be.

You should hear the English whine online about their immigrants. If you want samples inspect articles (especially on either crime or immigration, the EU, or the economy) on Yahoo UK or any other international media a typical English can post on anonymously..

And much of the posts, if repeated here would be violations of the TOS, you would think they were Ku Klux Klansman if the posts were not from England.

The UK demographics - Demography of the United Kingdom

90% or more of the place is European and you would think the place is being conquered and subjugated by black men and/or Muslims to hear the lot talk.

This is the same lot who brags of their multiculturalism, even in Google translated Spanish to Latin Americans.

But there is no "mass migration" to the UK. The United States, and many of the Commonwealth countries have a far higher immigration rate and/or percentage of their population being of "visible minorities" than England does, as does much of the EU, and most of the Latin Americas. Go look up the matter and see with your own eyes.

Spoken like someone who knows sweet FA about sweet FA. There is little talk about Muslim or black immigrants these days, its mostly about Eastern Europeans. If you lived here you would know, but you dont and are spouting off as usual. Much of what you suggest is spoutted by right wing groups such as the EDL and lately a few right wing Tories or UKIP supporters.
