ORIGINAL: MasterCaneman When I'm driving, I KNOW I am better than 90% of the other drivers out there, simply because I've done more of it. That, right there, is what accounts for most of the accidents and general aggravation in traffic. It's an attitude about 90% of the drivers out there share. How's the math of that work out? IWYW, — Aswad. Of course I'm arrogant. It's a free country. But I do obey the traffic laws, speed limits (unless doing so would itself cause an issue), am courteous to other drivers, and drive defensively. I routinely drive cars fresh off the auction block where I'm not familiar with them, they may have hidden safety issues not revealed in post-sale inspection, among other things. I deal with people flagrantly speeding, texting, eating, all kinds of things without a care for other drivers. When I drove cab and shuttle buses, I'd see people veer across three lanes of traffic to get into a fast-food joint. Incredible stupid stuff, but I'm (knocking wood) accident free since '96. Yeah, I'm an arrogant bastard, all right.
