Second flashbang deployed near the bow. No movement.

The Iranian government has "condemned the bombings" as unnecessarily violent... When the people who invented terrorism (or at least made it a household word) are trying to distance themselves from you...you are pretty low. On another front, their uncle here in MD answered the question of "if he knew why.." With the response of " because they are idiots. I have always told my side of the family to stay away from them"

Not to be picky....but I thought it was the Irish that invented "modern" terrorism(please remember I am Irish myself,so no gratuitous flaming is necessary )certainly it was Michael Collins and the IRA that perfected the use of the bomb as an effective terrorism tool.
The IRA ,under Collins leadership, was the first organization to make use of the car bomb ......

That was why I added "made it a household term". Terrorism, in some form has probably been around for centuries, many elevated it to an art form... But, in the U.S, I don't think it became common knowledge until 1979.

When my namesake lead the IRA, they ONLY targetted police and miltary targets. Members of my family fought with him and left, when Collins was killed.

Peace and comfort,

Michael

They're saying he's injured, from last night.

Of course the definition of Police and Military targets was stretched to the breaking point by Collins and the IRA.
Flying squads were a Collins tactic ,squads which engaged in targeted assassinations as well as the use of the car bomb.
Both of these actions could, and in fact did, lead to civilian casualties.

The difference of course being that these casualties were NOT the stated goal of such actions but were,in fact, collateral victims.

The blood on the boat and shed is a good indication that he was injured at some point.

I hope they are able to keep him alive, if only so we can get some answers out of him.

According to reports he has "unspecified medical needs" but is expected to survive and, eventually,be well enough to stand trial for his crimes.
As usual(with me) no cites for this......lol.
Just watching CNN like most others

Seriously though,I am very happy that he was taken alive,I so want to see this mutt stand before a judge and answer for his crimes(assuming of course that he is found guilty,a safe assumption given the events of the day)

According to an unpublished report, his brother was long dead. More bullet holes than the coroner could count

Was that really necessary, Owner59?

I mean, I can illustrate most of the graphic points I make with graphic images, but will that really be positive in any way, shape or form?

IWYW,

Unfortunately, some people will make claims until they are graphicly disproven.

Even then, they will claim photoshop.
