I am completely against allowing aspiring terrorists to enter the country. So you would not have allowed in folks like thomas jefferson, john adams or patrick henry into my country They were aspiring terrorists when they came into the country?!? Seriously? And, I would also like to point out that Jefferson and Henry were born in Virginia and Adams was born in Boston, so, technically, they would be more apt to be called "home grown" terrorists, if you are going to demand they be called terrorists (which I wouldn't). Most people who read my statement would have considered that those named were, by the time of the revolution, terrorist or supporters of terrorist by any streach of the imagination but you in your typically peurile fashion want to move the discussion away from what you cannot defend...namely your asanine comment...and choose instead to discuss where they were born and not the fact that if they were to apply for access to my country you have said you would deny them..../quote] Did you see the emoticon I used after my original statement? Here, lemme quote myself:quote:
Just so I am clear, I am not in favor of preventing any race, ethnicity, or religious affiliation from entering the country. I am completely against allowing aspiring terrorists to enter the country. And, I don't think there is any specific question on the student visa application. I think it's high time we changed that... [8D]
Why do you think that question would be productive? [quote[The men you named didn't come into this country looking to commit acts of terror (even ignoring that their entry into the country was via birth). An english colony not the u.s. please try to keep that straight. I have it straight. For your examples to be accurate, they would have had to go to England to commit acts of terrorism. They didn't do that, did they? They were fighting for their homeland, in their homeland. Neat how that works, innit? quote:

The country they wer born into was Thus, they weren't aspiring terrorists now were they? Plus, let's also consider that they fought for their rights and the rights of their fellow citizens of the colonies. They didn't go into England and commit acts of terror, did they? Since the colonies were part of gb yest hey did commit acts of terror against the crown. quote:
And, so we're clear, since there isn't a question on visa applications as to whether or not the petitioner is an aspiring terrorist, there is no way for us to know whether or not someone is an aspiring terrorist. While I don't want aspiring terrorists to come into the country, I have no problem with foreigners gaining entry to the country (through legal channels, of course). Why do you make this requirement ...it was not a requirement for the founders? Show me how the requirement applied to the Founders. Last time I checked, we don't have visa applications for fetuses.
