Pretty clever, I saw a Russian Violinist do something similar, but this was pretty cool:).

It happened last year with the NY Philharmonic, this guys phone went off during a very quiet section of Mahler 9, and the conductor had to stop the performance. It wasn't as obnoxious as you would think, it was an old guy who had received an iphone as a gift, and it was the alarm feature he didn't even know was set, he was mortified and got in touch later with the conductor to profusely apologize. It is why I tell people to turn their phones off completely, unless you are at a rock concert it is going to be distracting...

Several years ago Liam Neeson was on stage in NYC doing a one man show about Michael Collins, one of the fathers of Irish independence. He was in the middle of a moving speech, and some dipshit lawyer type's cell phone went off, and then, get this, the guy started talking on it (guy was right off the stage, couple of rows). Liam Neeson just stopped and stared down at the guy (He is a tall, tall guy, and if you ever saw him in "Taken", you would know the looks he could give), and then Neeson pointed at the guy, gestured to an usher and made the cut sign on his throat, and the guy was ejected to the cheers of the audience...I think people have to realize there is a limit to connectivity. I used to be involved with a large fetish charity event, and there were people who were absolutely living when we told them no cell phones could be used at the event, primarily because of their ability to then start taking pictures, they were indignant. I did one of the last ones just a smart phones were becoming common, and this stupid bitch copped attitude when I told her to put it away , she was IM'ing away and then was going to take a picture of an M/s couple that were in full regalia (s was wearing posture collar, leather corset showing her tits, chained up, etc), M was in full fetish domme gear......), and she was 'like who are you? I was just taking a picture to send to my girlfriend, it is so kick ass, you know" and "you can't tell me to do that, I have the right to take pictures if I want"....she couldn't quite figure out a)this was a private event and b)the people there didn't exist to please wankers like herself *sigh*.
