SeverinVim -> Article about FinDom (4/28/2013 5:41:35 PM)

I was wondering what people think of this:

http://nymag.com/thecut/2012/10/my-life-as-a-financial-dominatrix.html

To me, very little of it rings true, but she could be telling the truth.

LadyPact -> RE: Article about FinDom (4/28/2013 6:16:30 PM)

I've actually seen that article before. Here is the link to the thread from about three months ago if you are interested. http://www.collarchat.com/fb.asp?m=4338788 (And yay for starting a new thread, rather than posting on the old one, like the Mods ask folks to do. Props on that.)

I don't know if the dollar amounts are accurate. I didn't have any reason to disbelieve the article. I'm sure that is how the findomme who related the article feels about it.

It was an interesting read if nothing else. While I wouldn't think it true at first, it does sound plausible to a degree.

dolorsub -> RE: Article about FinDom (5/6/2013 4:59:13 PM)

It is really difficult to believe for me that this really happens. Especially since a lot of these so called FinDom exchange their time with their subs exclusively online it seems. But I can see how some sub-males, especially new ones will find such thing attractive. Not for me though.

FR

I think it could be true, especially if you have multiple wealthy pay-piggies under you.

PrincessCarnage -> RE: Article about FinDom (6/5/2013 4:36:18 AM)

That article was extremely interesting...

It could be that the woman being interviewed is exaggerating, however; it is also possible that she is being 100% truthful.

If you have a number of well off (or wealthy) fin subs/slaves that dollar amount isn't hard to reach. Heck, even if you have a larger group that give smaller amounts on a normal basis that quickly adds up.

nephandi -> RE: Article about FinDom (6/24/2013 2:41:52 AM)

Greetings

I think this is an interesting read, whatever or not the lady in question is truthful or not I do not know, but it was fun to read.

I wish you all well

TNDommeK -> RE: Article about FinDom (6/24/2013 2:58:47 AM)

I do feel she could have exaggerated a bit. However it can happen.

kalikshama -> RE: Article about FinDom (6/24/2013 3:27:37 AM)

A. The woman in the article does more than financial domination.

B. I knew a Domme in South Florida who drove a Jaguar given to her by a client and lived in a mansion on the Intercoastal. Once I had the address, I was able to see what other properties were owned by the same person, and it is comprised of quite extensive and expensive holdings. It's possible that this woman has no legal right to either the Jag or the house and her client could yank them away at any time, but meanwhile, she's enjoying the fruits of her labor.

MissLuxeA -> RE: Article about FinDom (7/10/2013 2:47:26 AM)

I actually know of this woman. Not personally, but through a blog she ran which is no longer available. She made her presence online less apparent due to an unsavory character trying to ruin her shine. But believe me when I say, it's all true. She was/is the real deal, and she knows what she's doing.

Didn't Eliot Spitzer pay $4000 for a single night with Ashley Alexandra Dupré?
