Awesome tips. I especially like the cook book pants hanger one.
Thanks for sharing!

I love using the muffin tin for condiments, but the ability to use Doritos as kindling makes me wonder a little bit.

Ha! And using a ketchup bottle to pour out pancake batter without the mess is a great idea, but how do you get it in the bottle without making a mess?

I love sites like this. I use about 50% of those tips already.

Having eaten some super dry Doritos in the last week, I can see how that could work. The batter thing is a mystery to me though. Use of a funnel perhaps?

Try it sometime. They burn like the dickens, and the drier they get, the better they are. Plus, you double up on uses for things when you're backpacking. Every ounce counts with every consecutive footstep.

I tried it just now and would suggest using some oil other than olive.

No, just snip off the top of a pop bottle. It should fit just fine.

Pancake batter??

Why all the fuss??
Mix as normal using an electric whisk - saves all that shaking about.
Just use the egg holder from your egg poacher to dip in the batter mix and pour into the pan.
It's just the right size - instant measure. Perfect identical pancakes every time

Great. Now I have to buy an egg poacher.

Nah...really, I just mix it all in a bowl and use my ladle to pour them out. I think the pancake batter in the bottle is a neat idea if I were mixing batter to have available the next morning or if I had a ton of kids that wanted to help cook or something. But I'm all good with my ladle.

And taking a picture of your refrigerator before shopping? I've done that. And my cupboards. That's efficient, I suppose. Or, that's "Too Lazy to Write a List."
