Most of the day, I took care of my 16 month old great nephew.
My day started at 630 with feeding the dogs,
Got to lay back down again until 9 when my sister woke me up, she was getting Princess ready for her visit to the vet.
Fed Damian breakfast, oat meal with fresh apple chunks and a sippy cup with juice.
Next was setting up media player so he could watch music videos.
around 10 he needed a diaper change. He came real close to an out of diaper experience. Mega pootinky diaper.
--Now changing Damian is really fun. He waits quietly while you take the dirty diaper off, clean his butt, and as soon as you grab the new diaper, it is off to the races.
After cornering Damian in the kitchen, I put a clean daiper on him, got him dressed. Today was a wife beater and a pair of shorts.
About 130, he decided he wanted a nap, so he went into my room with his bottle, climbed onto the bed, (his music was still playing.) Got into his corner, laid back and went to sleep.

At about 145, Sis, Niece and Princess arrived back home, Princess saw her baby was asleep so she climbed onto the bed and laid down next to Damian.

After that it was me and my sister watching him till niece's boy friend got home, then it was the three of us.

Today, hubs and I got up, went and paid bills. Then went house hunting. We found four "ok" ones but, as fate would have it..I found a better and closer house when talking to the guy about one of the original four. Happy happy happy!
Then we got the girls dressed and went to dinner at our favorite Mediterranean spot. After we went to the gym and did some grocery shopping. Hubby just got done making cheeseburgers and home made French fries (baked).

As of right now.....coco, myself and the lil redhead are laying in my cozy bed watching nat geo.

I did five loads of laundry yesterday. Not a great accomplishment because inside of a few days, I'll have to do them all over again. On my second load of today. Probably should do a few more after this.

Went to my lawyer today to get back on disability so I can get my next round of back surgery. Will be going in and cashing in my emergency savings bond before I end up living under a viaduct. Later, I'm going to an FFL I know to sell one of my rifles.

my days always start with letting the woofers out first, shower, feeding woofers, and ends that way.

today i worked cleaning up after my elderly residents, and had 'moving and handling' training. then i went and cleaned up after my horse as well as feeding him. he was in a very playful mood today so we had to have a fight....well several fights over the stable door. he also has a bolt on his door that he holds in his mouth so i can tickle his tongue.

I've got lots more i could be doing, but since getting home i've done bugga all.

OH geeze, got up, made tea, checked email. Put the plants out (due to cold weather they had to come in for a few days), watered plants, cleaned up the plant table. Cleaned the cat boxes and got the trash together for Himself to take out, took him to work (all before 8am).

Put a load of laundry in, folded laundry, got the dishes in, cleaned the kitchen counters and the stove. Thought about cleaning the fridge and put it off (there's only so much my back can do.)

Sat outside in the sun for 20 minutes reading my book.

Vacuumed the big bedroom and the kitchen.

Made some phone calls, checked bank balance, did some online shopping.

Around 2 pm I tried to take a nap (I'm recovering from an illness).

Was woken up at 3:15 by a cat stomping on my back (he was hungry).

Fed the cat, finished cleaning up in the kitchen, then laid back down to read my book until it was time to get Himself from work. Now I'm doing dinner and playing online.

Normally I get some work done too, but lately it's housework or real work, I can't do too much of both in the same day.

Later tonight after dinner we'll watch videos in bed and snuggle. We'll both take a bath before bed.

I woke up and lingered in bed way too long, thinking about how empty one side of it felt. Then I tried coaxing my cat into humiliating positions under the blankets. (Don't judge me - it's not what it sounds like.) That took me a good half hour, so by the time my feet actually hit the floor I was already resigned to being late to work. Somehow, I scrounged together an outfit from whatever was left in my closets still clean and was tickled when someone told me they loved my "Bohemian" look today.

I sat at my desk all day and pretended to work through lunch. I tweezed my eyebrows while watching a video of a commission meeting. I researched the various storage capacities of several iPhones and had a somewhat heartfelt talk with a coworker about Angelina Jolie's breasts. The highlight of my afternoon was a cup of tea with some shortbread cookies, which I haven't had in forever. However, that short-term pleasure was followed by a distraught friend who asked me to listen to a voice mail left by her mother berating her husband, as she cried in the kitchen about having to choose between her man and her mom.

I sang in my car on the way home, way too loudly to be anywhere near respectable, and when I arrived home I put my hair up, took my bra off, broke out the fleece, leopard print pajama pants and promptly jumped on Facebook. I crafted an arrogant response to a friend about a House Bill, which I (in my better judgment) did not ultimately send. Instead, I got taken up for an hour or so reading the texts of bills and learning about interesting legislation such as that wanting to make the white potato the official vegetable of New Hampshire.

At the moment, I'm procrastinating. I'll be headed to do dishes and clean the litter box. Because my life is pretty fuckin' glamorous.

K & Needles,
No way Jose.
And who invented ties anyway, they have to be the most useless invention...
Actually apart from them being useless decoration, they are also uncomfortably similar to a choke chain... Definitely will have to figure out some sort of stylish alternative.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Job interview (suit), apple fritter, road trip, meal with mom.

Aries83, some advice my dad gave me about wearing a suit: Don't think about it. You're still just wearing clothes. Something I've discovered about wearing a suit: Women (mostly) really like seeing a guy in a suit. Take the opportunity to look around from time to time, and smile like a goon when you catch one eyeballfucking you. Make it fun, and it won't seem such a chore.

And, unless you're in some type of security function, neverneverever a clip on. Ties actually serve to hide the buttons and point out your crotch to anyone who happens to be curious about its exact location (except, of course, for bowties--in both cases).

So, OP, what did YOU do today?

ETA: Aries83, could you get away with an open collar instead of a tie? How formal is the dress code? (I won't suggest a cravat, because I seriously doubt it would fly and it's really no less a hassle than a tie.) Size up the neck of your shirt a half-size, that's likely your issue. Then just tighten the tie to the shirt. Wearing a tie really shouldn't be (physically or mentally, but you're on your own there) uncomfortable at all...

I actually got to sleep in until 5:30 this morning, which was absolutely fabulous. I got ready for work, it was scrubs today and not a suit day. So, it was a double YAY. I had enough time to drink my cup of coffee. I completed my scheduled testing, although I dragged it out much longer than I normally do. The afternoon consisted of making a ton of phone calls to various different agencies, because no body calls me at work unless my desk looks like it threw up and I'm in over my head. I came home, took the dogs on a 3 mile walk, got eaten alive by mosquitos, and made grilled kabobs and mashed potatoes for dinner.
