Master wants me to have a collar on at all times wether is my black leather one at home or a subtle chain in public. But I'm picky as can be and I'm also an educator so I really have to be careful. He told me I could pick the public collar (with His approval of course), I have only found one that is remotely close to anything I could wear. I don't want just a necklace its got to be like a sort of lose looking choker, that will only be tight around the bottom of my neck (if that makes anysense?). Anyone have any ideas?

Since it's ultimately your Master's decision, I'd say pick a few you think would be acceptable and show them to your master. Or you could both go shopping and pick one out together you both agree on.

ive seen a lot of women wear thoes velvet type collars that are about 1/2- 1 in wide and are very tight on the neck. they dont look odd or out of place at all. Ive also seem some steel collars that are veryt hink, and apeer to be a fancy piece of jewlrey.

What about something like this?

There are a bunch of different one's like that, they're subtle, beautfful, and with a bit of modification and allow for a lock

One option woud be a linked chain of jewelry metal (silver,white gold) that fits close like a choker fitted with a small lock. If this is not acceptabel there are a number of narrow leather and velvet collars in pink,red,purple that come off as a fashion statement. They can be found online or in mall stores like Hot Topic.

A small chain maille collar might do.

A friend of mine wears a stainless collar and cuffs every day.  She works in a bank.  They have ones that are quite similar to hers at www.dreamstrike.com

my last two Owners had me wearing a tight fitting chain with a pendant representing There House or nick for example one was a white rose. It had meaning to U/us and people in the comunity knew its meaning as well but it looks like your just wearing a normal necklace

the collar can be anything really its the emotional/symbology behind it. my pet has a sterling silver twist 5/16 diameter with her dragon pendant as well as matching slave bracelets for every day wwear....she also has a leather collar that she wears when we go to events/functions.also a play collar.....

I would suggest talking to a chain maille maker. We can show you many different weaves, sizes, colors and materisls and can make exactly what you want. Since the piece will be custom, you can get the exact length you want. If the mailler is close by they can semi-perminantly attach the choker to you (or for simple weaves tell you how to do it).

Friends of mine are "collored" to each other. The bought a length of heavy silver chain, cut it in two and had clasps put on the end. He wears it as an anklet and she as a bracelet. It has as much significace to them as collars around their necks.

Thank you all for your suggestions. I really wanted the tiffany locking heart chain, but Master decided to go with one off of secrets4us.com. I like it, i'm just much more of a girlie girl then He realizes (that and I'm an expensive slave hehe) I'm just waiting on it to arrive!... I can't wait.

it is the symbology that counts,however their are quite a few places online to shop,or go hunting at the jewelry stores there's something for everyone out here all you have to do is search

I saw a booth at the mall selling neckless and bracelets by the inch.  They had a nice gold linked braclett material that is 3/4" to 1" wide.  I was thinking that would make a great choker/collar for public wear.  I think they would negoiate you a good price and cut it to fit snug for you right there.  I have also seen some of these stainless steel charm bracelets lately that are flat and about 3/8" wide.  They are not very expensive and think you could buy as many as you needed and hook them together.  They have links for size adjustment and think that they could be all linked, but have not looked closely. 

There is also leather cord necklesses on ebay from 1/8 inch to 1/4 inch and some braided cords also from that size and up.  That is currently in fashon and no one would know but other fetish people.  We both have these. 

My girl has a thin leather strip choker we got on e-bay.  We have it in 1/2" and 3/4".  It has a silver chain closer on it.  Again very fashon oriented. 

Good lock and maybe these ideas will spark some creative thinking.  A collar is a symbol and you can make that be a special neckless, choker or anything you desire for public.

Tiffanys was where I purchased the public collar for my last little one, they were pretty open about their lock working just as well as masterlock

Try dreamstrike collars, they are comfortable, presentable and lock seamlessly. I wear mine 24/7 and have had people ask where i got my necklace.
