It was mentions that get of their rump and work for if they could do this they must be able to hold down a steady job, this atitude is the atidute that at time make my life hell. i have Aspergers syndrome, on the surface i might be a bit of an oddball, but i seam rather normal, i am big, strong and inteligent and i have had the get of your rump and work atitude trown towards me many times, well i can not, the pepole that have seen me and made such coments have never seen me on a bad day, they dont know that behind me, guiding me and making sure i can appear so normal stand my fiance and my mother, they dont know that every bloody time i talk whit somone i dont know wery well i act, i supress the urges to say exactly what is in my head and like an acrtress i try to build up this persona of a normal person and still keep what is me, and i have wored hard, so hard for what i have, i was 16 ears old before i deared to leve my mothers or grandparenths home and go farther than 20 minutes away, to day i take the train for 5 houers on my own, i shop, i make frinds, but everytime i do fail i get the just get a grip tratment, and every so often i get the get of your rump and work coments and it make me so sad, and coments like that just make me want to cry.
While there surly is pepole that misuse disability pensions, there are many pepole whit disabilities, even physical ones that can take a beating at a BDSM cub one day and another day be bed ridden whit their illness, and it is hard to find a job tat will acept, well yes i may be able to come in 100 days a year, but i have no idea when those days will be, and then the only one who will acept you are happy happy factories where you are set to work whit stupid kids that dont even try and the wery mentaly retarded, and belive me you can talk of humiliation all you want, but there is few things more humliating than being forced, as an inteligent woman to learn how to turn on and of a light switch becouse everyone must be trated the same here and then have to sit down and sing stupid children songs whit pepole that are six years old in the head, i have nothing against the mentaly retarded, i just dont want to be treated as one.
No belive me, it is not just wheelchair users that need a disability pension, often there are things wrong it is not easy to spot, and we would all live so mutch better if we did not have to have the get of your rump and wor coments trown at us, many of us work hard to be as funcional as we are, others have ilnesses that come and go, so dont judge before you know, not judge that becouse person A can do this they are capable of working and dont ell us to get of our asses and work, becouse many times such a coments leves tears in its wake from pepole that truly wish they were able, but just ismply is not able to take a normal job.
