I'm amazed these politicians-in-robes did not side with the bio-pharma lobby. Maybe this ruling can be used to reign-in Monsanto.

One almost immediate benefit of this ruling will be that testing for the genes the predispose a person to getting breast cancer will become cheaper. Previously a company had patented the defective gene and therefore no other companies could produce a test and the patent holders were charging a lot more than the test cost.

I gotta admit I am stunned and amazed beyond belief. I have to assume some other corporate interest was competing against Pfizer's LOL.
