We always enjoy going to concerts and movies together and love dining out at various places. As others have mentioned, the woods/camping is our favorite hangout once it's cooled down for the year. October on top of a mountain. Oh yeah[:)]

In January, we plan to take an Amtrak trip. I have always wanted to ride a train so I'm so looking forward to it.

Basically, if we're together, reading, listening to music or just about anything, we both enjoy it.

Being by the Beach!! Another huge passion of mine. Couldn't think of a better place to be.

This family often has what we call "freeze moments". Meaning, when everything is perfect in the universe, we say "freeze". That happens a lot around here. Normally it'll be when we are having fun at the gun range, out having dinner, or something similar. But I'd have to say my favorite moment is going I be when we go to Miami for vaca. We are planning to rent a yacht for the day. Some dinner and the ocean on a Yacht, with my Hubby and the brat...definitely a freeze moment.

If you'll forgive me for being a total geek here - the ancient Greeks had a wonderful word for those moments: 'kairos'

From wikipedia:
Kairos (καιρός) is an ancient Greek word meaning the right or opportune moment (the supreme moment). The ancient Greeks had two words for time, chronos and kairos. While the former refers to chronological or sequential time, the latter signifies a time between, a moment of indeterminate time in which something special happens.

I think it expresses so perfectly those moments where time almost seems to stand still because the moment is so joyful and emotionally satisfying.

Sorry for the derail Aries.

One of my favourite memories is when we got to spend a single day in Florence, just walking hand in hand in the sunshine, something beautiful and awe inspiring around every corner.

If I got to choose my perfect day I've always wanted to go swimming off a boat in some secluded lagoon, then dinner on the shore-front and a long barefoot walk across the beach after sunset. Cliche, but I still hope to do it one day.

Omg, that's awesome! Your geek moments are hot by the way!

If you have a memory of a particularly romantic event which made you swoon, or if you have a dream evening which you fantasise about...
What would be your perfect romantic/lovie dovie activity?

Please keep the details to respectable level, as I'm not really interested in your perfect "porno evening" [:o]

Is it dinner and a show? A picnic and a stroll? A Bubble bath and Barry White?

Where to start. We actually do lots of lovey dovey romantic stuff. Last weekend I made breakfast and we took a blanket and had breakfast in the park and just watched the world go by and we laid there in the grass together.

There have been times when we dressed up to go to an orchestra or something similar. I remember one time when he surprised me with tickets to see an orchestra play "Fantasia". That was fun and romantic.

When he sneaks up behind me, wraps his arms around me and either just lies his chin on my shoulder or kisses my neck and earlobe.

Going to the beach and watching the sun go down together or walking along the beach hand in hand.

Times when he has made slow, passionate love to me.

Pretty much every night when we are just sitting around watching tv and we snuggle up together.

For me it's not really where we're at or what we're doing but the intimacy of being with Master. [:)]

ETA: ooohhh...the first night we ever met. Oh yeah, definitely romantic. Dinner at a nice Thai restaurant where he was a perfect gentleman, all dressed up, ordered everything, great conversation and the walk afterwards to find dessert and sitting in this little Greek diner at a table in front of the front window and him playing and caressing my hands and making me all nervous and stuff....not an easy thing to do to me. [:D]

Going hiking together and getting lost, going out to eat, especially for our Sunday brunches, just walking around the city.
